Catering Assistant – Dublin City Centre
We’re hiring a Catering Assistant to join a busy healthcare facility in Dublin City Centre. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you’ll support patient care through nutritious meal preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals and drinks to patients and staff.
- Deliver meals to wards and assist patients during mealtimes.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to the highest standards.
- Follow HACCP food safety and infection control procedures.
- Stock and rotate ward pantry supplies correctly.
- Work closely with catering and ward teams to ensure smooth, efficient service.
Requirements
- 6–12 months’ experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Porter, or similar role (healthcare experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene procedures.
- Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
- Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
- Flexible, reliable, and great at working as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
- €17.35/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
- Full-time hours with daytime shifts (7:00 AM – 6:30 PM) for a great work-life balance.
