Catering Assistant – Healthcare | Dublin 18

3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Catering Assistant to support a busy healthcare facility in Dublin 18. This role involves the preparation, delivery and service of nutritious meals to patients and staff in a clinical setting.

This is a frontline healthcare catering role where your work supports patient comfort, recovery and the smooth running of daily services. You will work as part of an experienced catering team, maintaining high hygiene standards and assisting patients respectfully during mealtimes.

This position is suited to candidates with catering, kitchen assistant or food service experience who are seeking daytime hours, consistent shifts and long-term opportunities within healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages

  • Deliver meals to wards and assist patients during mealtimes

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, trolleys, equipment and utensils

  • Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures

  • Stock, label and rotate ward pantry supplies

  • Work closely with catering teams, ward staff and supervisors

Requirements

  • 6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchen or food service roles

  • Healthcare or hospital catering experience (advantageous)

  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards

  • Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting

  • Five years of verifiable work references

  • Reliable, team-focused approach with good communication skills

  • Flexibility to work daytime shifts across a weekly roster

Pay & Benefits

  • Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
