Programme Administrator

HIQA is recruiting a Programme Administrator for its Health Technology Assessment Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to join a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the effective implementation of HIQA’s programmes to deliver high quality health technology assessments (HTAs), other evidence-based advice and evidence synthesis outputs and therefore to embed evidence-based methodology in the health decision making processes in Ireland. The Programme Administrator will actively engage in the work of the HTA Directorate and of HIQA to deliver on the annual business plan in line with the strategic objectives as outlined in HIQA’s Corporate Plan. The remit of this role encompasses general administration and project support for the HTA Directorate. 

Inspector Healthcare Services

Location: Dublin, Cork or Galway

HIQA is recruiting an Inspector Healthcare Services for its Healthcare Directorate.

The role of an Inspector Healthcare involves monitoring public hospitals, maternity hospitals, rehabilitation and community inpatient hospital services and private hospitals. The inspector will participate in the programme of regulation and the assessment of compliance with legislation and national standards up to and including enforcement/escalation activity as required. The inspector will work as part of a team to carry out all regulatory activities in accordance with HIQA’s policies, processes and procedures to determine compliance with legislation and national standards, report publicly on findings and respond appropriately when service providers do not meet requirements. 

Corporate Learning and Development Coordinator

HTA Programme Manager

HIQA is recruiting a HTA Programme Manager for its Office of the Health Technology Assessment Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to join a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the effective implementation of HIQA’s programmes to deliver high quality health technology assessments (HTAs), other evidence-based advice and evidence synthesis outputs and therefore to embed evidence-based methodology in the health decision making processes in Ireland. The HTA Directorate, comprises approximately 60 analysts. HIQA works collaboratively with high-level stakeholders, with academic groups and with international HTA agencies to deliver these objectives. Methods development and academic outputs are actively encouraged and the Directorate hosts a range of post-graduate fellowships and an active post-graduate degree training programme. The HTA Programme Manager will actively engage in the work of the HTA Directorate and of HIQA to deliver on the annual business plan in line with the strategic objectives as outlined in HIQA’s Corporate Plan.

Head of Assessment  – Health Technology Assessment

HIQA is recruiting a Head of Assessment  – Health Technology Assessment for its Health Technology Assessment Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to join a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the effective implementation of HIQA’s programmes to deliver high quality health technology assessments, other evidence-based advice and evidence synthesis outputs, and therefore to embed evidence-based methodology in the health decision-making processes in Ireland. The HTA Directorate, overall, comprises approximately 60 analysts.

HIQA works collaboratively with high-level stakeholders, with academic groups and with HTA agencies from other countries to deliver on these objectives. The scope of the HTA Directorate’s work includes providing evidence synthesis and evidence-based advice to inform public health policy, and providing HTAs to inform decision making on investment or disinvestment in health technologies and programmes, including decisions in relation to national screening and national immunisation programmes. The Head of Assessment will actively engage in the work of the HTA directorate and of HIQA to deliver on the annual business plan in line with the strategic objectives as outlined in HIQA’s Corporate Plan.
