Description
Servisource are recruiting for an Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Director of Nursing on behalf of a private nursing facility located in South Mayo.
As an Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Director of Nursing in an Irish nursing home, you'll support the Director of Nursing in managing and developing the nursing service, ensuring high-quality, safe care, and maintaining compliance with regulations, while also providing leadership and support to nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the overall operational and strategic management of the nursing service.
- Provide professional leadership and support to nursing staff at all levels.
- Ensure the achievement of operational and strategic objectives.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of nursing staff.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive and professional environment for staff and residents.

Patient Care:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and person-centered nursing care to residents.
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans.
- Address resident needs and concerns promptly and effectively.

Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies (e.g., NMBI standards, HIQA standards).
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Staff Support:
- Provide guidance and support to staff nurses/unit managers and allied staff.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Assist in the development of the management skills of immediate subordinates.
- Be a visible and approachable presence for staff, residents, and families.

Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in service planning and change management.
- Contribute to the effective utilization of resources.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
- Deputize for the DON as required.
