Catering Assistant – Kitchen & Canteen | Dublin 3

3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Catering Assistant (Kitchen & Canteen) for a healthcare facility in Dublin 3, North Dublin. This role supports kitchen food preparation and staff canteen service for employees and visitors.

The location is easily accessible via Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations and multiple Dublin Bus routes.

This position is based in the kitchen and canteen only and does not involve ward service duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, basic plating and service set-up

• Serve meals and beverages in the staff canteen

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, counters, equipment and utensils

• Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures

• Support stock handling, food labelling and rotation

• Assist chefs and supervisors during busy service periods

• Keep canteen areas clean, organised and service ready

Requirements

• 6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchen or food service roles

• Experience in healthcare, contract catering or high-volume kitchens (advantageous)

• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards

• Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting

• Five years of verifiable work references

• Reliable and comfortable working in a kitchen environment

Pay & Benefits

• €17.53 per hour

• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays

• Full-time daytime shifts only
