We’re hiring a Catering Assistant to join a dedicated community hub in Dublin 8, supporting individuals impacted by homelessness. This is a meaningful and rewarding frontline role where you’ll help improve wellbeing through nutritious food preparation and warm, respectful service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and drinks to service users and staff.
• Assist in the safe, respectful delivery of meals during mealtimes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchens, equipment, and utensils.
• Follow HACCP food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Support stock rotation and maintain adequate kitchen supplies.
• Work collaboratively with catering and support teams to ensure smooth daily service.

Requirements

• 6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchens, or hospitality (experience in community or healthcare settings an advantage).
• Working knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
• Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
• Reliable, flexible, and an excellent team player with strong communication skills.

Salary & Benefits

• €17.35 per hour
• 20-hour contract, with shift options: 8:00am–12:00pm or 1:00pm–7:00pm.
