Catering Assistant job in Dublin 24, €15.90 per hour

We are looking for Catering Assistants to join a healthcare facility in Dublin 24, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors.

This role offers competitive pay, including double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays, as well as daytime shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, you will:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Maintain high hygiene standards by cleaning equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas in line with health and safety regulations.
• Adhere to HACCP procedures and infection control policies at all times.
• Store, label, and rotate food correctly to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Deliver meals to patient bedsides and ensure assistance is available if required.
• Follow waste and recycling procedures in accordance with healthcare protocols.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely meal delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling patient and staff queries with professionalism.
• Ensure ward pantries are stocked with food and supplies for daily service.

What We’re Looking For

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in catering or a high-volume kitchen, ideally in a healthcare setting.
• Legal right to work in Ireland and successful Garda Vetting clearance.
• Five years of work references to verify experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A high standard of cleanliness and commitment to hygiene and infection control policies.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
