Catering Assistant – Limerick
Join a respected healthcare facility in Limerick as a Catering Assistant, supporting both wards and kitchen duties. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages while meeting all dietary and nutritional requirements.
- Deliver meals to wards and assist patients during mealtimes.
- Support daily kitchen porter duties including dishwashing, cleaning, and stock rotation.
- Maintain high hygiene standards in food prep and service areas.
- Follow all HACCP, infection control, and food safety protocols.
- Work as part of a busy catering team to ensure smooth mealtime operations.
Requirements:
- 6–12 months’ experience in catering, preferably in a hospital kitchen or similar fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP compliance.
- Legal Right to Work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
- Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
- A full driver’s licence is desirable for commuting to the facility.
Salary & Benefits:
- €17.35/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays.
- Day shifts only (typically between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm) for better work-life balance.
