Description

Servisource Recruitment are IMMEDIATELY seeking a Clerical Officers Grade III for their client who is based within the Public Sector in Mullingar.

Contract: Temporary, Ongoing
Location: Mullingar
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
Hourly pay rate: 13.00 per hour (may increase with VOS)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
To research, retrieve and collate records required for Freedom of Information/Data Protection/Administration Access requests in accordance with legislation and time frames.

Photocopy and scan medical records for release to requesters.

Liaise with patients, Consultants, Solicitors, An Garda Sochna and all levels of staff within the Health Service Executive in relation to FOI requests.

Management of patients charts in accordance with National Hospitals Record Management Policies and Procedures.

Communicate confidentially and professionally with staff at all levels of the organisation and maintain a good working relationship with staff.

Manage telephone calls appropriately by dealing with issues raised where possible and direct calls to the Consumer & Legal Affairs Manager.

To provide administrative support to the Consumer & Legal Affairs Manager.

To assist in managing the overall distribution of patient/customer information throughout the Hospital.

Maintain high standards of confidentiality of data at all times

To assist in the collation of information required for Insurance purposes.

Carry out other such duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Consumer & Legal Affairs Manager.

Skills, competencies and/or knowledge

Knowledge/Professional Knowledge:
Demonstrate knowledge of administration and office procedures
Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the provision of clerical service
Demonstrate knowledge of health services and the Regional Hospital in general
Demonstrate effective use of typing, photocopying, computer skills and IT packages appropriate to the post

Planning & Organisational Skills
Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organisational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to manage deadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks
Demonstrates close and accurate attention to detail in personal/departmental work

Communication/Interpersonal Skills
Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, including: the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner:
