3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1 – Intellectual Disabilities) to join a new, community-based Multidisciplinary Health Team in Dublin 1, supporting adults transitioning from homelessness into stable, supported community living.
This is a senior nursing leadership role delivering person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused care to adults with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities, many of whom present with complex health, addiction, mental health and social exclusion needs.
The role combines clinical leadership, caseload management and integrated community nursing, supporting individuals to maintain dignity, independence and long-term stability in their homes and communities.

This innovative service operates within a rights-based, recovery-led model of care, delivering integrated health supports through close collaboration with:
- Disability services
- Housing and homelessness services
- Addiction and mental health teams
- Community and voluntary organisations
The team works proactively to reduce hospital admissions, strengthen community supports and enable sustainable, independent living.
Role Overview
- Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Intellectual Disabilities)
- Location: Dublin 1 (community and outreach-based)
- Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time considered)
- Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8am–8pm (flexibility required)
- Contract: Fixed Term – 5 years (subject to funding)
- Salary: €61,443 per annum
- Annual Leave: 25 days per year (pro rata, excl. bank holidays)
Key Responsibilities As Clinical Nurse Manager 1, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship within the MDT
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, care plans, reviews and discharge planning
- Manage a clinical caseload with accurate, timely documentation
- Advocate for adults with intellectual disabilities, ensuring accessible and person-centred supports
- Work collaboratively with housing, addiction, disability, mental health and homeless services
- Embed trauma-informed, harm-reduction and evidence-based practice
- Ensure compliance with NMBI, HSE, HIQA, MHC and NDA standards
- Contribute to audits, service evaluation, policy development and quality improvement
- Support staff induction, reflective practice, training and CPD
Essential Requirements Applicants must have:
- Registration (or eligibility) on the Intellectual Disability Division of NMBI
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, including at least 1 year in ID services
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and MDT collaboration experience
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
- Ability to work across community, outreach and home-based settings
- A compassionate, pragmatic and person-centred approach to care
Desirable Experience
- Training in Positive Behaviour Support, sensory integration or autism-specific practice
- Experience supporting individuals affected by homelessness, trauma, addiction or social exclusion
- Experience in service development, quality improvement or change management
Salary & Benefits
- €61,443 per annum
- 35-hour working week (part-time considered)
