National Learning Network is the training and employment division of the Rehab Group. We have over 50 years’ experience in the area of training for employment or further education and benefit from a hugely experienced multi-disciplinary team of nearly 600 teachers, trainers, programme development officers, psychologists, counsellors and employment support staff.

 

Course Tutor

Rossview Business Park, Port Rd, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

Fixed term, 5 months, 22.5 hours.

 

Job Purpose

Tutors shall be responsible for the training and development of all learners on their programme in accordance with the agreed programme specification (Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership & L4 Diploma in Hospitality Management) together with the day-to-day management and maintenance of all aspects of the programme.  

 

Minimum Education & Skills required

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in delivering accredited training on the National Framework of Qualifications in the hospitality sector with a relevant training body associated with the hospitality industry. 
  • An Assessor specific qualification e.g. City & Guilds TAQA Assessor qualification is desirable.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Hospitality sector.
  • At least two years management/supervisory experience in the hotel sector is desirable.
  • Experience of facilitating and implementing of individualised learning plans. 
  • Experience of maintaining a focus on Health, Safety, Hygiene and good housekeeping guidelines in a training setting and ensuring best practice.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide systematic training according to specified curricula across specified modules, maintaining all records required for effective monitoring of the learners progress.
  • Maintain records of all training in accordance with both internal and external quality standards and producing reports on same, as required.
  • As a key member of the team, evaluate the progression needs of each learner and produce a profile of those needs.
  • Instill by example and direct training, effective work attitudes and work behaviours in each learner and provide learners with adequate and constructive feedback about their progress.
