JWR Employment Specialists are excited to be working with a rapidly growing battery technology company in Galway, Ireland to recruit a Graduate Test and Development Engineer.

What will the role involve?

  • Design and build Jigs, Fixtures and Test Equipment
  • Instrument and test high voltage batteries
  • Perform tests within the Xerotech test laboratories or at supplier test houses across the world.
    • Thermal Cycling
    • Cooling Systems
    • Durability
    • Safety
    • Shock & Vibration
    • Cell Characterisation
    • Benchmarking
  •  Support infield tests and commissioning of customer systems
    • Commissioning of the cooling systems
    • Electrical testing
    • Isolation testing

Skills, Education and Experience

  • Demonstrate good technical competency and experience in an automotive or similar environment with a good overall understanding of cooling systems, batteries and high voltage electrical engineering.
  • Good team player who interacts well at all levels of the business including engineering, manufacturing and quality engineering and be able to adapt to working on multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Degree level qualification in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated relevant industry/academic experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Good team player with great communication skills.
  • Self-motivated: Demonstrated ability to set direction and guide the team towards it.
  • Experience with Solid Works or Similar CAD skills
  • Experience of CAE in Stress and Mechanical
