What You'll Bring:

  • Six months minimum experience in catering or bustling kitchen environments.
  • Full-time availability, Monday to Sunday.
  • Authorization to work in Ireland and successful Garda Vetting.
  • Two professional references from the last five years.
  • Proficiency in spoken English.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Assist in meal preparation and serving with attention to dietary needs.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Manage food storage, labeling, and rotation to ensure freshness.
  • Perform various duties to ensure seamless service to patients and staff.
  • Consult with patients or parents about their food preferences and complete menu selection.
  • Take food service trays back to ward pantry and dispose of any leftovers according to what the hospital policy dictates.
  • Prepare each individual patients’ food according to the specific diet plans specified by the nurse or dietitian.
  • Refer to notes to determine if any drinks or beverages are allowed to the individual patients.
