Job Responsibilities
Lead a team of culinary experts to create and innovate menus and recipes that exceed quality standards. Prepare and present a variety of meals to meet the dietary needs and preferences of patients, following nutritional guidelines. Manage inventory, procurement, and cost control to meet budget goals.

Healthcare Catering Chef – Louth

Join a fast-paced healthcare facility in County Louth as a Healthcare Catering Chef. This rewarding, hands-on role focuses on preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support patient health and well-being. Ideal for experienced chefs with backgrounds in healthcare, or high-volume catering environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements.
  • Lead and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
  • Monitor meal quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and food storage.
  • Support menu planning in line with nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance across kitchen areas.
Requirements:
  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a healthcare or large-scale catering environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill processes.
  • Legal Right to Work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
  • Full driver’s licence is desirable.
  • Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility for weekday and weekend shifts as per rota.
Salary & Benefits:
  • €20.29/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays.
  • Day shifts (7:00 am – 6:30 pm, Monday to Sunday).
  • Ongoing support from our office and out-of-hours team.
