Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 3

We are recruiting a Hospital Chef for a healthcare facility in Dublin 3, North Dublin. This role involves preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support patient care and recovery in a clinical environment.

The location is well served by Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations and multiple Dublin Bus routes.

This position is ideal for chefs looking for daytime hours, stable work and a structured healthcare catering role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present meals in line with clinical dietary guidelines

  • Work across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, prep, plating and service areas

  • Maintain consistent food quality and smooth kitchen operations

  • Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures

  • Manage stock rotation, labelling, storage and waste control

  • Ensure allergen compliance and portion control

  • Work with dietitians and healthcare teams

  • Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment

Requirements

  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent

  • Experience in hospital or healthcare catering

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems

  • Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting

  • Five years of verifiable work references

  • Good organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team

Pay & Benefits

  • €20.50 per hour

  • Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays

  • Full-time daytime shifts only

  • No late nights or overnight work
