Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 3

We are recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to support a healthcare facility in Dublin 3, North Dublin, preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that directly support patient care and recovery.

The facility is easily accessible via Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations, with additional access via multiple Dublin Bus routes.

This role is ideal for chefs seeking structured daytime hours, a regulated working environment and meaningful work within healthcare catering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with clinical dietary guidelines

  • Work across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, preparation, plating and service areas

  • Maintain smooth daily kitchen operations with strong quality standards

  • Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures

  • Manage stock rotation, storage, labelling and waste control

  • Maintain allergen compliance and accurate portion control

  • Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams

  • Maintain a clean, compliant healthcare kitchen

Requirements

  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification

  • Experience as a Hospital Chef or Healthcare Catering Chef

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems

  • Legal right to work in Ireland

  • Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.

  • International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

  • Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references

  • Strong teamwork and organisational skills

Pay & Benefits

  • €20.50 per hour

  • Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays

  • Full-time daytime shifts only

  • No late nights or overnight work
