Hospital Chef Jobs Dublin 6 | Daytime Healthcare Chef Role

Daytime hours. No late nights. Real purpose.

3Q Recruitment is hiring an experienced Hospital Chef for a respected healthcare facility in Dublin 6, offering stable daytime shifts and consistent work in a professional, well-run kitchen.

This role is ideal for chefs who are done with late nights, split shifts and hospitality burnout, and want reliable hours, structure and work that genuinely matters.

The Role

As a Hospital Chef, you’ll work as part of a clinical catering team delivering safe, high-quality meals in line with dietary and healthcare standards.
You’ll have clear processes, proper equipment and realistic service expectations, not the pressure cooker of traditional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with clinical and dietary guidelines
  • Work across hot food, prep, plating and service areas
  • Maintain consistent quality, portion control and presentation
  • Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
  • Manage stock rotation, labelling and waste control
  • Work closely with catering managers, dietitians and healthcare teams
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised and inspection-ready

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts (or equivalent professional chef qualification)
  • Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef, Chef de Partie or Catering Chef
  • Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge
  • Legal right to work in Ireland 
  • 5 years of verifiable work references
  • Reliable, organised and team-focused approach
  • Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
  • International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
  • Healthcare experience is ideal, but chefs from high-volume catering environments are welcome.

Salary & Benefits:

  • €20.50 per hour
  • Double pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays
  • Day shifts only (Monday–Sunday roster)
