Kitchen Porter – Dublin 1
We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join a busy, high-volume healthcare kitchen in Dublin 1. This hands-on role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly, supporting hygiene, food preparation, and organisation. Ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare or high-volume kitchens who thrive in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils efficiently to support ongoing service
- Assist with basic food prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, and measuring
- Stock ward pantries and beverage stations
- Record temperatures and assist with HACCP compliance
- Work closely with kitchen and ward staff to ensure smooth, hands-on kitchen operations
Requirements:
- 6–12 months’ experience in a high-volume, hands-on kitchen; healthcare experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance
- Ability to provide 5 years of work references
- Flexible and reliable, able to work weekdays, weekends, and Bank Holidays
- Team player with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
Salary & Benefits:
- €17.35/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays
- Full-time hours (typically 7:00 am – 6:30 pm)
- Varied shifts Monday to Sunday depending on client needs
