Description

Our client is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to join their team and be responsible for the Learning and Development within the organisation.  Working closely with HR you will be joining this established organisation within the leisure industry, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the L&D strategies for the future.  The location for this role requires own transport and parking is available. This is not a remote or hybrid working role as it requires the in person working on site. 

The ideal candidate will have at least a minimum of two years’ experience within a role focused on learning and development or learning as part of a HR role and have qualifications in L&D or HRM or equivalent experience.  A minimum requirement is QQI level 6 for Training Delivery, or an equivalent qualification in HR supported with training experience. 

This  is a permanent full time role with a salary dependent on experience of between €45,000 and €50,000.

Some of the responsibilities of the role will include.

  • Support HR with implementation of the Learning & Development strategy ensuring compliance with health and safety.
  • Administration of HR projects and activities
  • Coordinating Learning & Development activities
  • Management and administration of the LMS system.
  • Upload and utilise mediums such as intranet and ESS.
  • Responsible for the induction and onboarding of new starters.
  • Identify training gaps and support Managers in developing training to improve performance.
  • Ensure adult learning principles and appropriate methodology is incorporated into the training for both industry specific and soft skills.
  • Engage with Train the Trainers to ensure training is supported, relevant and up to date with compliance.
  • Ensure Health and Safety training is in place, compliant and facilitate training of same (a qualification in Manual Handling is required for this role).
