Description

JWR Employment Specialists are working with a Mechanical and Engineering Company who are specialists in bespoke fabrication to recruit a Mechanical Piping Supervisor for ongoing projects in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast growing and expanding business that support an equally fast-growing industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working on site supervising a team of 5-10 people
  • Management of all day to day on site operations
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  • Ensure correct revision drawings are being used for the completion of construction activities
  • Ability to carry out and read piping isometric drawings and PNID’s
  • Issue internal weekly progress reports
  • Onsite coordination with contractors, site foreman and other relevant personnel
  • Creating and enforcing employee schedules and construction timeline
  • Ensuring works are completed to a high standard
  • Provide any necessary technical back up, to resolve engineering queries on site
  • Ensure equipment is on hand as required
  • Safety audits and monitoring safety performance on site

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within mechanical engineering required
  • Previous management or supervisory experience within construction required
  • Relevant qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of piping isometric drawings and PNID’s essential
  • Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large projects
