Are you an ambitious mixed veterinary surgeon with experience in leadership, eager to find a fulfilling new role? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you! 

Our clients busy midland based hospital is currently looking for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team as a Clinical Director.

The hospital is 50% small, 30% Large, 20% Equine. They have all the usual equipment that you would expect including digital x-ray, Idexx blood analysis, ultrasound, dental, gaseous anaesthesia, Equine x-ray facilities, large animal surgery, stocks, stables, calf pens.

About the role

The role of Clinical Director is of utmost importance within the practice. This role leads the practice in ensuring the best level of care is given to each client and their animals. You will be a key contact in both the clinical and non-clinical aspects of running the Large Animal Practice, with the opportunity to develop your interests and put your own personal stamp on it. Other day-to-day duties would see the successful candidate overseeing the general running of the practice with your main focus Large Animal. You will work with our team and our Area Support Manager to develop and lead the clinic's direction. 

This is a full-time, permanent position. They have a wide variety in our caseload with certificates fully funded and encouraged. 

Salary for this role is highly competitive and negotiable depending on experience. 

Requirements:

  • Competent in all Large Animal scenarios
  • Excellent clinical skills 
  • Personable an effective communicator 
  • Leadership and management knowledge or appreciation for same 
  • Focus on clinical excellence and best practice policies 

Ideally, some experience in management would be preferred but the role would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to step up and progress in their career. The successful candidate would need to be enthusiastic, caring, and passionate. You will need to work well within a team but also be able to lead it when required.
