National Learning Network is the training and employment division of the Rehab Group. We have over 50 years’ experience in the area of training for employment or further education and benefit from a hugely experienced multi-disciplinary team of nearly 600 teachers, trainers, programme development officers, psychologists, counsellors and employment support staff.

 

 

 

Project Coordinator

Fixed Term Contract 12 months, 15 Hours  

 

 

 

Job Purpose

 

The post holder has responsibility for the overall promotion of The Wellbeing Network brand across West Cork. The Wellbeing Network is a shared initiative between the HSE and National Learning Network. Its key objective is the planning, development and implementation of a project and long term strategy to promote wellbeing and recovery within West Cork communities. The project promotes wellbeing by means of community integration and establishing links with existing creative, leisure, cultural and sporting activities and initiatives. It will assist communities in west Cork to develop and take ownership of wellbeing and recovery initiatives in their own areas.   This is achieved through managing the day to day activities of the project: event management, public relations, advertising as well as the training and education of positive mental health and wellbeing in community settings. 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Education & Skills required

  • Third level qualification (degree ) in PR and Marketing
  • A relevant pedagogical/training qualification – Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as minimum
  • A minimum 2 years relevant experience working within the marketing or training and education industry
  • Experience of building and forging relationships with all individuals and services in knowledge gathering in a community setting
  • Excellent innovative thinking and ability to work under pressure
  • Professional manner, experience and excellent identifiable ability to represent The Wellbeing Network, HSE and National Learning Network
  • Ability to engage with Knowledge of community integration
  • a professional and confident approach. An ability to motivate learners and  to maintain networks with stakeholders and local communities

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • The development of relationships within the West Cork Community as a whole to promote “recovery and wellbeing”, i.e., working with voluntary organisations, relevant community members, stakeholders, agencies, business and employers
  • Development of recovery-focused services and initiatives for service users, staff, families, relatives and carers
  • Manage budgets through consistent costings and planning
  • Compilation of an extensive database of all groups and services
  • Further development of an interactive website and other tools to promote the network and link communities, including social media
