Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Dublin 20
Salary: €60,816-€71,609 DOE

Are you a compassionate and skilled Senior Speech and Language Therapist ready to advance your career? This Senior Speech and Language Therapist position is permanent and full time, 35 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work within the Children's Disability Network Team, providing speech and language therapy services to children aged 0-18 and their families. Responsibilities include assessments, diagnostics, interventions, and contributing to the FEDs service for children with complex needs. They will lead in service development under the CDNT manager, with clinical supervision provided. Key requirements include managing a busy caseload, using a family-centred practice approach, and opportunities for continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Speech and Language Therapy qualification approved by the CORU Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board.
  • Maintain annual registration on the CORU Speech and Language Therapy Register.
  • Possess at least three years of full-time post-qualification clinical experience (or equivalent aggregate).
  • Experience of supporting children/young persons with life limiting conditions.
  • Experience working with children with disorders of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing (FEDS) needs.
  • Relevant post graduate training specific to child disability services.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine family needs and deliver a variety of advisory, practical, and emotionally supportive services within the Progressing Disabilities Services for Children and Young People (PDS) framework. This involves collaborative interdisciplinary team efforts and emphasizes family-centred practices.
