Social Care Leader – Athlone
Community & Residential Care Leadership | Westmeath
3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Social Care Leader to support service delivery across community and residential care programmes for young people and families in Athlone, with shared working in Mullingar.
This is a senior social care role focused on quality, consistency and safeguarding, providing leadership and support to both teams and service users.

The Role
As a Social Care Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership and oversight within regulated services, supporting staff, safeguarding service users and ensuring high standards of care.
This role suits experienced social care professionals ready to step into or continue in a leadership position within community and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of safe, person-centred care within regulated services

Supervise staff, provide mentorship and professional support

Support staff development and maintain consistent care standards
-
Oversee care plans aligned with recovery, resilience and wellbeing goals

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies

Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding and health & safety requirements

Maintain accurate care documentation and service records
-
Promote independence, structure and positive outcomes for young people
Requirements
-
Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in social care, with leadership or senior responsibilities

Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, child protection and safeguarding frameworks

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills

Garda Vetting and legal right to work in Ireland

Full driving licence advantageous
