Description
JWR Employment Specialists are delighted to be recruiting a Warehouse Team Lead. This role will be based in Sligo. The role will be responsible for dispatching stock, receiving goods, leading the warehouse team and prepare and undertake the smooth transfer of stock to and from our various warehouse locations.

Hours of work: (Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads & co-ordinates the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team to meet targets for On Time and In Full customer delivery.
- Leads the use of lean tools to drive continuous improvement & process reliability.
- Attend meetings reviewing key metrics to ensure we are on target.
- Creates a high performing flexible team which achieves excellent results through coaching, mentoring & effective performance management.
- Ensures that there are regular team communications, ensuring engagement of all warehouse personnel.
- Responsible for performance management and training of all direct reports.
- Ensure all team members are fully trained in their roles and support development of standard work, documentation, training, and procedural activities where appropriate.
- Communicates warehouse and materials information effectively to the relevant departments.
- Co-ordinate with Supervisors & Shift Team Leaders to facilitate efficient operations.
- Ensure material availability for production on a daily basis.
- Liase with freight forwarders to coordinate inbound and outbound shipping, including shipments between our various production and warehousing locations.
- Lead 6S program within warehousing to ensure that housekeeping, GMP & Safety issues are resolved in a timely & systematic manner thus meeting all company safety, environmental and quality initiatives.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained in line with procedure.
- Manage inventory control, including stocktaking and implement relevant continuous improvement measures within the warehousing function.
- Manage KANBAN levels and FIFO principles within warehouse.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure adherence to the relevant standards in place.
- Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all learnings from GMP audits and training events.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
Skills, Experience and Education
- Level 7 management/relevant supervisory management qualification desirable.
- Previous Warehousing experience is essential.
- Previous Forklift Driving experience is essential.
- Previous people management experience essential.
- Green Belt Lean Certification / or similar qualification is desirable.
- Performance and results driven.
- Ability to motivate self and others.
- Excellent initiative and decision-making capability.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High level of GMP, safe working practices and awareness.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & ERP Systems.
- Full Clean Driving Licence essential.
