Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Analyst

HIQA is recruiting a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Analyst for its Health Technology Assessment Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to join a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the effective implementation of HIQA’s programmes to deliver high quality health technology assessments (HTAs), other evidence-based advice and evidence synthesis outputs and therefore to embed evidence-based methodology in the health decision making processes in Ireland. The HTA Directorate, comprises approximately 50 analysts. 

The post holder will actively engage in the work of the HTA Directorate and of HIQA to deliver on the annual business plan in line with the strategic objectives as outlined in HIQA’s Corporate Plan. The HTA Analyst will undergo comprehensive training in evidence synthesis and HTA which will include the opportunity to pursue externally delivered training. A number of opportunities to pursue a paid postgraduate degree (PhD or Master’s) will be available.

HIQA will create a panel for future permanent and fixed term vacancies that may arise.

Corporate Learning and Development Manager

HIQA is recruiting an Corporate Learning and Development Manager for its Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate.

This Corporate Learning and Development Manager Role will be responsible for managing and delivering on a recognised schedule of work to address current and future capability needs at an organisational and individual staff member level.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the role will proactively deliver on HIQA’ s learning and development goals and objectives for 2026 and ready the organisation for 2027.

At an individual level, this role is about creating learning environments where employees can continuously develop to be their best while executing the learning and development strategy of the organisation.

HIQA is recruiting a Project Officer – Research Processes for its Health Information and Standards Directorate.

The GRS team is a new team. This is an exciting and dynamic role that will support this evolving team and the other four teams within the HIS Directorate.

This role will require strong evidence synthesis, information management, communication and project management skills. Their support will extend across the Directorate as required, ensuring that we meet our business objectives.

IT Infrastructure Operations Lead

HIQA is recruiting an IT Infrastructure Operations Lead for its Information Division Directorate.

The role of the IT Infrastructure Operations Lead will be to lead the teams that manage and maintain HIQA’s IT infrastructure. They will be responsible for the daily management, reliability, performance and security of all IT Infrastructure systems to ensure business operations are supported and aligned with organisational needs and supporting HIQA’s Digital and Data Strategy.

Key duties involve infrastructure maintenance and support, project implementation, disaster recovery, budget management, vendor relationships and strategic road-mapping for long-term infrastructure health and scalability.

This role requires a confident, solutions focused, have a strong operational background and possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

CIO Administrator

HIQA is recruiting a CIO Administrator for its Information Division Directorate.

The CIO Administrator will provide high-level administrative, analytical, and coordination support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The role will focus on Executive Assistant responsibilities to the CIO, ensuring effective diary management, correspondence handling, and preparation for key engagements. The role will focus on monitoring business performance objectives, coordinating operational and project reporting, risk reporting, managing internal and external stakeholder meetings, and ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with the organisation’s strategic direction.

This hybrid role requires strong organisational skills, business acumen, and the ability to connect technology initiatives with strategic and operational objectives. The role will be pivotal in ensuring the CIO’s office operates efficiently while supporting delivery of technology and business priorities across the enterprise.

Deputy Director – Regulatory Oversight and Assurance

Location: Dublin or Cork or Galway

HIQA is recruiting a Deputy Director – Regulatory Oversight and Assurance for its Regulation Directorate.

This is a senior management role in the Authority. The post holder will report to the Chief Inspector of Social Services and their functions provides support to the Social Care Regulatory Directorate, to the Healthcare Directorate and to HIQA at corporate level. The post holder will provide clear and effective leadership and operational management to effectively deliver three functions;

1. Regulatory Practice Development Unit
2. Service User Experience and Concerns Unit
3. Regulatory Operations Unit

Other roles also operate within the remit of the post holder such as HIQA’s Designated Officer for Adult Safeguarding.
