Ward Catering Assistant – Patient-Facing Healthcare | Tullamore & Midlands

3Q Recruitment is recruiting Ward Catering Assistants to support meal and beverage services on hospital and healthcare wards in Tullamore and across the wider Midlands.

These are ward-based, patient-facing roles, suited to candidates who are comfortable working in clinical environments and who understand the importance of dignity, hygiene and accuracy when delivering food services in healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and beverages to patients on hospital and healthcare wards

• Set up, distribute and clear meal trays and service trolleys

• Support accurate meal service in line with dietary requirements

• Follow infection control, hygiene and food safety procedures at all times

• Communicate effectively with nursing, catering and ward teams

• Maintain clean, organised and safe ward service areas

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare, catering, hospitality or service-based roles

• Comfortable working directly with patients in clinical environments

• Strong awareness of hygiene, infection control and food safety standards

• Legal right to work in Ireland

• Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.

• International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

• Ability to provide five years of work history or references

• Reliable, respectful and professional approach to work

Pay & Benefits

• €17.53 per hour

• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays

• Daytime and rostered shifts available

• Monday–Sunday roster depending on service requirements
