Catering Officer Grade 2 – Dublin 1 | Catering Management
  
3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Catering Officer Grade 2 to support the management of catering services within a large healthcare facility in Dublin 1.

This is a senior support role within healthcare catering management, assisting with day-to-day service delivery, staff supervision and compliance in a regulated hospital environment where food quality, hygiene and nutrition directly support patient care.

The role suits candidates with experience in hospital catering, healthcare food services or large-scale institutional catering, who are ready to step into a structured leadership position within a people-first healthcare setting.

  
Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily healthcare catering operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
  • Assist with supervision, rostering, training and support of catering staff
  • Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Support menu planning and meal service aligned with clinical and nutritional requirements
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and supplier coordination
  • Maintain accurate records and support audits, inspections and quality checks
  • Promote positive communication and teamwork across catering, nursing and support teams
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene, organisation and service quality

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Hotel, Catering, Institutional Management or Dietetics (Degree, Diploma or Certificate)
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience assisting in catering operations for an institution serving 200+ people daily
    OR
    Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory catering role
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting wider catering teams
  • Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
