Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 9

3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef for a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 9. This role involves preparing nutritious, well-presented meals that support patient care and daily hospital operations.

This position is suited to chefs with experience in hospital, healthcare or large-scale catering kitchens who are seeking daytime hours and a structured working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present meals in line with clinical and dietary guidelines

  • Support the day-to-day running of a healthcare catering kitchen

  • Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards

  • Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety and hygiene procedures

  • Manage food storage, labelling, stock rotation and waste control

  • Ensure allergen compliance at all times

  • Work with dietitians on menu planning and dietary adjustments

  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment

Requirements

  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification

  • Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems

  • Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting

  • Five years of verifiable work references

  • Reliable, organised and comfortable working in structured environments

  • Availability for a Monday–Sunday roster (daytime shifts only)

Pay & Benefits

  • €20.50 per hour

  • Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
