Description
JWR Employment Specialists are delighted to be working with a large company based in Galway who are providers of Marquees and products for corporate, private, sporting and music events to recruit a Junior Project Manager.
The role which will work closely with a Senior Project Management Team will be responsible for assisting in sales, ordering services and materials, preparing quotations, scheduling as well as attending site visits. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a very experienced team but also get involved in large projects including prestigious sporting, corporate and private events. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will, as part of our sales and project management team.
- Assist the senior project managers with administration tasks such as quote preparation and project invoicing.
- In conjunction with the senior project managers, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for the ordering of services and materials.
- Collaborate with senior project managers, where needed, with the scheduling of labour requirements on projects.
- Attend client / site meetings with senior project managers if required.
- Ensure training certification is in place for all Site & Yard staff.
- Help with the implementation of relevant Health & Safety processes as needed.
- Manage the ordering & distribution of Personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with tender applications as required.
- Interact with the wider company team.
- Maintain client & supplier relations through all interactions.
- Continuously develop the necessary skills for the position through ongoing mentoring from the senior project managers about products, planning, costing and project delivery.
Education, skills and experience required.
- The successful candidate will be Level 8 degree qualified (preferably in an Engineering/Construction Management/ Event Management discipline).
- 3+ years’ work experience.
- Competent IT Skills to include but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good oral & written communication skills.
- Be self-motivated, flexible on working hours and capable of working to deadlines.
- Open to take direction or correction.
- Excellent written & spoken English.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable Skills Requirements
- Experience in the construction or events management industry.
- Experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Experience of land surveying.
- Knowledge of health and safety best practice.
- Experience of managing projects.
