Kitchen Porter – Healthcare Catering Kitchen | Dublin 3

We are recruiting a Kitchen Porter to support a busy healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 3, helping to maintain safe, hygienic and efficient food services for patients and staff.

The location is easily accessible via Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations, as well as multiple Dublin Bus routes.

This role is suited to candidates with experience in high-volume kitchen environments who are seeking daytime hours and reliable work within healthcare catering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness across kitchen areas, equipment and utensils

  • Wash dishes, cookware and service equipment

  • Assist with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning

  • Support ward pantry and beverage station stocking

  • Assist with HACCP compliance and temperature recording

  • Follow infection control and hygiene standards at all times

  • Support chefs and catering assistants during service

Requirements

  • 6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Porter or Catering Assistant

  • Healthcare or hospital kitchen experience (advantageous)

  • Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety

  • Legal right to work in Ireland

  • Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.

  • International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

  • Ability to provide five years of verifiable references

  • Reliable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Pay & Benefits

  • €17.53 per hour

  • Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
