Registered Vet Nurse – Referral Center London

Independently owned first opinion practice with a lovely team of receptionists, vets and nurses. Have specialist clinics weekly including internal medicine, soft tissue, ophthalmology, dermatology and soft tissue.

Looking for a nurse to join a team for 5 days a week (full time).

Job responsibilities:

• Confidently handle and restrain animals
• Provide nursing care to patients, including patient monitoring and health checking.
• Administer treatments including injections, tablets & fluids
• Perform diagnostic tests, e.g. blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays
• Prepare animals for surgery and perform some minor procedures, e.g. suturing wounds and dental hygiene
• Monitor anaesthesia
• Assist veterinary surgeons with operations
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice
• Communicate with pet owners.
• Educate pet owners on animal health, including vaccinations, worming, flea prevention and appropriate nutrition

 Requirements:

• Be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • 1 year post-registration experience required
