Healthcare Catering Assistant – Dublin City Centre | Hospital Catering Role
3Q Recruitment is hiring Healthcare Catering Assistants to work in a busy hospital setting in Dublin City Centre. This is a hands-on, rewarding role supporting patient care through food preparation, ward delivery and meal service.

Role Overview
- Location: Dublin City Centre
- Pay: €17.53 per hour
- Shifts: Daytime only
- Environment: Hospital / healthcare catering
Working Hours
- Flexible roster – 5 days over 7
- Day shifts: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Ward-based work and meal delivery included
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve meals and drinks for patients and staff
- Deliver meals to hospital wards and assist patients during mealtimes
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Stock, rotate and manage ward pantry supplies
- Follow HACCP food safety and infection control procedures
- Work closely with catering and ward teams to ensure smooth daily service
What You’ll Need
- 6–12 months’ experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Porter or similar role
(healthcare or hospital experience is an advantage) - Basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP
- Legal right to work in Ireland
- Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
- International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
- Ability to provide 5 years of work references
- Reliable, flexible and comfortable working as part of a team
Pay & Benefits
- €17.53 per hour
- Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Full-time hours with daytime shifts only
