HIQA is recruiting a Head of Healthcare Surveillance and Risk Assessment for its Healthcare Directorate.
As the Head of Healthcare Surveillance and Risk Assessment at HIQA, you will play a vital role to ensure the protection and promotion of public health through regulation, by systemically monitoring and assessing health threats, risks, and outcomes.
This role requires expertise in epidemiology, data analysis, and public health, as well as strong strategic leadership, communication, and project management skills. The Head of Healthcare Surveillance and Risk Assessment will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive health surveillance systems, identifying emerging health threats, and providing timely, evidence-based insights to inform regulatory interventions.
The position holder for this role will also lead on the development and roll out of new responsibilities for HIQA as assigned through transposition of the EU Critical Entities Resilience Directive across relevant areas of the Health Service that fall under HIQA’s regulatory remit.
