Catering Supervisor – Dublin 24 | Healthcare Catering
3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Catering Supervisor to join a busy healthcare canteen and kitchen operation in Dublin 24.
This is a part-time supervisory role (23.5 hours per week), ideal for an experienced Catering Supervisor or Senior Catering Assistant with strong leadership skills and a background in structured catering environments such as healthcare, contract catering or large-scale food service.
There is potential for this role to move from temporary to permanent.
Role Overview
- Location: Dublin 24
- Hours: Part-Time (23.5 Hours / 2.5 Days)
- Shift window: Between 6:30am – 6:30pm
- Roster: Includes weekends
- Start: ASAP
The Role
You will support the day-to-day running of a healthcare canteen and kitchen, supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards and ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
This role suits candidates with experience in contract catering providers such as Compass, Aramark, KSG or similar healthcare and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily canteen and kitchen operations
- Lead, support and motivate catering staff
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor food preparation, service flow and presentation
- Assist with menu coordination, stock control and cost management
- Maintain accurate records and support audits where required
- Work closely with site and catering management teams
- Ensure smooth, efficient service delivery in a healthcare setting
Requirements
- Background as a Catering Supervisor or Senior Catering Assistant
- Hospital or healthcare catering experience strongly preferred
- Supervisory experience in catering, hospitality or contract catering
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene best practice
- Legal right to work in Ireland
- Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
- International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
- Two recent professional references
- Fluent English with strong communication and leadership skills
- Catering or Hospitality qualification desirable (Level 5–7)
Pay & Benefits
- €20.27 – €23.70 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Part-time role – 23.5 hours per week
- Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
