Hospital Chef – Dublin 4 | Healthcare Catering Role
3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to join a healthcare facility in Dublin 4, preparing fresh, nutritious meals that directly support patient care and wellbeing.
This is a structured healthcare catering role, ideal for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare facilities or high-volume catering environments who are seeking daytime hours, stability and meaningful work.
The Role
Working within a regulated healthcare kitchen, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality meals in line with clinical and dietary requirements. You will work closely with catering managers, dietitians and healthcare teams to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present meals in line with dietary and clinical guidelines

Support or lead daily kitchen operations

Work across food preparation, cooking, plating and service areas

Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
-
Manage stock rotation, storage, labelling and waste control
-
Maintain portion control and allergen compliance
-
Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams on menu requirements
-
Maintain a clean, organised and compliant healthcare kitchen
Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent chef qualification

Experience in hospital, healthcare or high-volume catering kitchens
-
Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
-
Legal right to work in Ireland

Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Flexibility to work across a roster
-
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.

International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Pay & Benefits

€20.50 per hour

Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
