Social Care Leader – Athlone | Community & Residential Care Leadership
We are recruiting a Social Care Leader in Athlone to support service delivery across community and residential care programmes for young people and families. This is a senior role focused on quality, consistency and safeguarding, supporting teams and service users alike.
The role includes shared working between Athlone and Mullingar, ensuring joined-up care and leadership continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of safe, person-centred care within regulated services
- Supervise staff, provide mentorship and support professional development
- Oversee care plans aligned with recovery, resilience and wellbeing goals
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and external support agencies
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding and health & safety
- Maintain detailed care documentation and service records
- Promote independence, structure and positive outcomes for young people
Requirements
- Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in social care, including leadership exposure
- Strong understanding of HIQA, child protection and safeguarding frameworks
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational ability
- Garda Vetting required; full driving licence advantageous
