Overview:
We are hiring a Ward Catering Assistant for a busy hospital in Dublin 1 to prepare, plate and serve meals to patient wards. Please note, candidates are required to have previous ward catering experience.

Details:

• Position: Ward Catering Assistant
• Location: Dublin 1
• Hours: 8:30am – 5pm, 4-5 days per week
• Rate of pay: €15.53 (Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays)

  
Job Tasks:

• Ensuring meals align with patient dietary needs and serving them appropriately.
• Promptly collecting used utensils, cutlery, and dishes from patient areas.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness to uphold hygiene standards.
• Communicating with nursing staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and patient requests.
• Monitoring food temperatures to uphold safety standards.
• Assisting chefs with food preparation tasks such as washing and cutting ingredients.

What you need to join the team:

• Previous experience in a ward catering environment is essential.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (Visa/Work permit if needed)
• References spanning the past 5 years of employment.
• Full-time, flexible availability.
• Proficiency in spoken English.
